The Road Ahead
Pirate Seas has come a long way and its about to get a whole lot better!
Pirate Seas beta 7.0 brought a lot of game changes and enhancements. This beta has in truth been a reboot of the server. In its year long development, I truly remade the server almost from scratch and I made it for the long haul. Beta 7.0 was designed with a solid foundation to constantly add onto unlike its predecessor. With this new server brought new bugs and complications that I can happily say I have nearly resolved.
These problems prevented me from promoting the server in this version, as I did not want to grow the community for new players to experience a server that isn't functioning properly.
What's going on now?
This is where beta 8.0 shows up! As we near the end of Pirate Seas beta and approach the full release of the server, some more changes and final variations will release. 8.0 will mark the true start of what Pirate Seas was meant to be. Pirate Seas has never been in a far along developmental stage to publicly advertise. Since beta 7.1, I have also not been bumping Pirate Seas on voting websites; the current player base consists of low numbers by design.
Beta 8.0 will unveil the server in a complete enough stage to properly support a 50+ player base. All thanks to the community's donations, there is also enough money to advertise the server at little expense to me.
Pirate Seas Beta 8.0 will bring a lot of exciting, new content! A new section of the map will be unveiled, new weapons and armor, new levels, new quests, new dungeons, new mobs, a new Crew/Landclaiming/Raiding system custom made by me, and tons of other game play enhancements and tweaks that I can wait to share with all of you!
I expect Pirate Seas Beta 8.0 to release in about a month however there is no official launch date yet (I am also timing the release with advertisement bidding to open).
More details will come so keep checking in on the website for the latest, and as always, stay scurvy!
